In general, we'd like to remain as non-biased as possible when printing things. The human rights violations in China, however, have gone on long enough. In case you're unaware, aside from the current events in Tibet, China is also passing laws banning not only homeless people and vagrants from Beijing, but mentally handicapped people as well during the 2008 Olympics. They are passing laws to stop local citizens from using public restrooms, and once again proving that while they do a terrible job of it, they are trying to put image first.

The Great Depression

What do you do? If ¾ of the country believes we're in a recession does that mean we are? I mean, ¾ of the country also thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, even after reports came out stating otherwise. The fact of the matter is the economy is not the best it's been. The question is, what do you do? Do you spend a little more in hopes of boosting the economy by putting more cash flow into it? Do you save a little more so that you'll have it if really hard times hit?

There is no easy answer to this and even the people who work in the Federal Bank themselves have argued this with each other, Congress and the Presidential administrations for years.

A good starting point is what you've got to begin with. Obviously the spending habits of the more than half the country who live for the most part paycheck to paycheck is not going to change. They will still need to pay rent, mortgages, buy food and pay utilities. When that's all said and done there's not much left over.

What about if you're in a little better shape than that?
